Use Our Building for Your Event
Zion City Church is grateful to provide its building as a resource for events that align with our mission and values. In order to maintain the facility and ensure fairness for all groups, the following rules apply to anyone requesting use of the building.
1. Scheduling and Availability
· The church building is not available on Sundays.
· No date or time is guaranteed. Use of the building is dependent on availability and must be approved in advance.
· Saturday events must conclude by 6:00 PM. If an event continues past 6:00 PM, an additional fee of $50 per hour will be charged for every hour (or portion of an hour) past 6:00 PM.
2. Fees and Deposits
· A $100 cleaning/utilities fee is required for all events.
· A $100 cash damage deposit is required and will be refunded after the event if the building is left in good condition and no damages are found.
· Additional charges may apply if damages exceed the deposit or if the facility is not properly cleaned.
· All fees are payable to Zion City Church. Cleaning fee may be paid online at www.zioncitychurch.net/give or cash. Cash damage deposit can be paid to facilities contact Jake Murdoch.
3. Building Use Guidelines
· Parking: Please be respectful of other tenants. Do not park in front of other businesses in the same area.
· Food and Drink: Allowed only in designated areas (please confirm with your event contact). No alcohol is permitted on church property.
· Decorations: Must not damage walls, furniture, or equipment. Use of nails, screws, staples, or tape on painted surfaces is prohibited. All decorations must be removed immediately after the event.
· Children and Youth: Must be supervised at all times. Running, climbing, or misuse of church equipment is not permitted.
· Restricted Areas: Only pre-approved rooms/spaces may be used. Offices, classrooms, storage areas, and equipment rooms are off-limits unless otherwise arranged.
· Sound and Media Equipment: Church sound, lighting, or projection equipment may only be used with prior approval and, in some cases, a trained church technician. Additional fees may apply.
· Cleaning: Groups are responsible for basic cleanup (removing trash, putting away chairs/tables, wiping down surfaces). The cleaning/utilities fee covers standard facility reset but not excessive messes.
4. Responsibilities
· The individual signing the agreement is responsible for the behavior of all guests and for ensuring that all rules are followed.
· Any damages beyond normal wear and tear will be billed to the responsible party.
· The church reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events if necessary due to church needs, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.
5. Agreement
By reserving the church building, you agree to follow all rules listed above and understand that failure to do so may result in loss of deposit, additional charges, or denial of future building use.
